Daily Democrat, Clinton MO, Oct 23 2002 - William A. Crowder, Jr., 81, Lee's Summit, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002, at his home. Funeral services will be Friday, October 25, at the Langsford Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday at the Maplewood Cemetery in Brownington. He was a member of the Lee's Summit First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the VFW American Legion Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Ararat Shrine. He was a former member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, retiring as regional director of the office of Motor Carrier Safety, US Department of Transportation on December 30, 1982. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Bogner. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Martha Crowder; daughter, Marti Brizendine and husband, Chuck, Lee's Summit; son-in-law, John Bogner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren, Mindi Jones and husband, Rob, Chris Brizendine, Danielle Dungan and husband, Robert, Shane Bogner and wife Erica; two great-grandchildren, Allison Jones and Jonny Bogner.
